My Edit: Think Pink

Think Pink

'On Wednesday's we wear pink'. - And we will for every Wednesday in October.
Pink happens to be a big AW13 trend this year thanks to the return of femininity and it couldn't have come at a better time with October being breast cancer awareness month. You don't have to go full Mean Girls style with the pink trend if girlie isn't your thing. Think accessories from bags and hats or don pink makeup such a blusher and lipstick, or if you're like me everything will be pink.
Above are some of my favourite pink thinks to be wearing this month.

This Month I Wore - September

September is always an in between season, as you can see.
The beginning of the month was much like summer with light tops, dresses and sandals. The end of the month was filled with light jumpers, opaque tights and boots as autumn is on it's way.
Time to bring on trilbies, wool coats and Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

The Age Aware Beauty Regime: ARK Skincare

Getting your skincare regime correct is one of a girl's biggest missions in life, just like finding that perfect pair of jeans! Everyone's skin is different and with our busy lifestyles will all have our different concerns and queries so one product cannot be suitable to every woman in the country. However, ARK skincare have found the perfect answer to all our queries - their age awareness skincare products. Whether you're in your early twenties like myself or have recently retired, ARK have a range of products that will solve all our concerns.

Ark Skincare has been creating beautiful products since 1998 but in 2009 they created their signature age awareness range that had been scientifically developed for 4 years prior. The Age Prepare range has been created to protect younger skins and to prepare them for the eventual onset of ageing so it perfect for me.

I have been using the Age Prepare Cleanser every morning and evening now for the past 3 weeks and I have already seen a difference in my skin. It cleanses the skin from a build-up of sebum and de-greases the surface to reveal radiant skin. Also it includes extracts of white tea and vitamin E that have antioxidant properties that keep the skin looking young as it reduces the appearance of skin damage and ageing. Not only is my skin looking a lot more clear it had left it feeling supple and radiant all day long. I have also integrated in to my routine an ARK toner and primer too.

With using all ARK products it means that my skin has adapted to a routine and I can get the best results possible out of the products; the hydrating toner is a refreshing partner to the cleanser. It's a fine mist that adds moisture to the skin and refreshes you thanks to the wild water mint and aloe vera. The new anti-ageing primer is probably my favourite. Although you might argue that at my age I don't need anti-ageing products, I would recommend this to anyone, any woman of any age. The primer includes UVA and UVB filters that help to prevent sun damage, which is a part of ageing, and includes active antioxidants that help to prevent early signs of premature ageing. What I also love, aside from the anti-ageing side, is that it smooths out my skin, leaving it soft and radiant and provides a great base for my foundation and makes it last longer.

Every woman needs to find her perfect skincare regime and ARK has done that for me and can for you too.

Lumi Magique from L'Oreal. LBP - Little Black Package. Heart Shaped Opaque Tights.Josh and I. Reading. Ark Skincare Review.

Okay so firstly as you can see there is a lot less instas this week. I have been so busy as this was my last week at Liliyang so I was finishing up my internship. It's a bittersweet leave, I'm excited for a new chapter and to start a new job but having been there for 15 months it is sad to leave the company behind.
On another news, this week saw a lot of beauty reviews for my blog and this weekend was spent catching up on some quality me time.
Next week I have the week off and I am off on a mini-break to Kent with Josh so I am looking forward to having time to relax as this is the first time since starting uni that I've not had to work.

Now let's bring on Autumn.

Leaked Look Book Images

It's that time of year again!
I of course mean the run up to H&M's latest designer collaboration where a few look book images of the collection have been 'leaked'.
Yesterday 6 images of Isabel Marant's collection for H&M were leaked online and created a fashion frenzy.

From these images, the collection does not disappoint and is everything that me, and I guess everyone else, expected it to be. The collection is ultra-Parisienne style, it oozes an effortless French vibe and mixes urban attitude with boho chic - everything that Marant's main line is!

I am already creating my wishlist ahead of the launch on 14th November - from accessories to clothes and the addition of menswear!

Vitalumiere Compact Douceur from Chanel

Say hello to the newest addition of Chanel's Vitalumiere family ...

As you know, I love Chanel beauty products and this latest addition is no different.
Although it is not available until mid-October, I managed to get my manicured hands on it and have not put it down since.

Chanel's Vitalumiere Compact Douceur is the latest edition to the Vitalumiere range and I have to say, my favourite! It is a lightweight compact makeup that gives your skin radiance, softness and comfort.

This new feather-light foundation by Chanel is enriched with peach pit extract and fatty acids that are essential to the skin's hydration. It also contains suncreen (SPF 10) that helps to preserve the youthfulness of the skin. What is even better than all of this is that it is available in a range of shades, with half of them being rose based which is perfect for my skin as normally I struggle to find shades suitable as they are all yellow based.

For a flawless, barely finish, Chanel's compact doucer has made foundation a source of pleasure.

Brands: Objets de Désir

"A new online boutique representing emerging artists and designers from across the world."

Today I want to give you a little bit of information about a new and upcoming online boutique, Objets de Desir.

(Firstly I am a sucker for anything French so I am in love with the boutique's name)
The online boutique was started by Rachel Drake who loves all things fun, unique and beautiful so this was the driving force behind setting up a boutique to showcase emerging designers from across the globe.
Rachel herself handpicks all the designers and artists that go online at the boutique and they are all exclusive and not available on the high street. Items from Objets de Desir range from home ware to lingerie and from art to jewellery.

Here are 3 of my favourite designers currently available on Objets de Desir:

Rachel Loves Bob
I love the statement jewellery from Rachel Loves Bob.
It is perfect for the upcoming party season but would look great with a day time look too.

Sophiesho
Sophiesho is all about unique, handmade home ware.
I especially love her range of cushions as they would look great on my sofa or on my bed. Cushions are the ultimate comfort and with her stylish home ware range they are a must for any house.

Iris London

There is nothing more confident and sexy than a matching pair of underwear, a killer lingerie set.
With Iris London I love the way sheer and silky materials have been used to create lingerie worthy of any woman's dresser.

To check out the full collections from these three designers and to check out many more then website Objets de Desir's website as the only way to get your hands on these unique pieces is to buy online from the boutique.
If you happen to be Bristol based then keep on eye out for their pop-up shop coming to Cabot Circus next month.

Instagram Sunday #37

New Coat. Sushi Blues. Mish-mash breakfast. Selfie. Cute drinks. Joe Malone Store. Street Performers in Kingston. Mastered Scrambled Egg. Hair-spiration.

This week has been a mish-mash of summer and autumn weather and has been really busy and then really quiet - it's one of those odd weeks.
I spent my time half at work and half catching up with friends by running across London. You would think it would be a pain having to always get the tube but I love London and all its different parts so it's kind of fun, you would think after 3 years I'd be bored of that.
Also, recently I have been thinking of going for the chop (hence the last selfie above - it's not real). I have always had long hair and I do love my long hair but I feel that this is all a new chapter in my life so change is on the cards.
Speaking of change, it is now officially Autumn and next week is the last week of September and my last week of Liliyang, I am looking forward to the change and new season.

Beauty Review: L'Oreal Lumi Magique

The Product: L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation and Highlighter Pen
The Look: Luminous, radiant skin
Works Well On: Fair, clear skin
Verdict: I'm still in two minds about this range. I love the affect it has on my skin as it works with natural sunlight to create radiant skin but because of this it means the foundation is slightly on the thin side so does not cover all your pimples. The highlighter on the other hand is great! It produces the same results as YSL's Touche Eclat but comes with a much lower price tag.
